WHAT TO EXPECT

Congratulations on choosing permanent makeup—your new look is nothing short of stunning! Proper care before and after your procedure is absolutely critical to ensure flawless, long‑lasting results. Please read the following guidelines carefully and treat them as essential steps in safeguarding your investment.

Why Pre/Post Care Matters
Your skin’s healing trajectory directly determines the appearance and longevity of your tattoo. Neglecting any of these instructions can lead to uneven pigment retention, infection, or suboptimal healing—undermining the very beauty you’ve invested in.

What to Expect During Healing
  1. Initial Brightness & Swelling (Days 1–3): Pigment appears vibrant; mild swelling is normal.
  2. Scabbing & Flaking (Days 4–10): Your skin will form tiny scabs or flakes as it regenerates. Avoid picking or peeling to prevent patchy results.
  3. Fading Phase (Days 11–30): As the outer skin layer renews, your tattoo may look faded. Rest assured, the pigment will re‑emerge from the dermal layer.
  4. Touch‑Up Appointment (~6-12 weeks): This session locks in any areas that need reinforcement, ensuring uniform color and crisp definition.

Key Care Principles
  • Keep it Clean & Dry: Gently cleanse with a mild, fragrance‑free cleanser and pat dry—no soaking or swimming.
  • Moisturize Sparingly: Apply a thin layer of your recommended ointment or lotion to maintain hydration without suffocating the skin.
  • Hands Off: Resist the urge to touch, scratch, or pick at scabs. Let your skin complete its natural repair process.
  • Sun & Sweat Protection: Shield your healing makeup from direct sunlight and heavy perspiration; UV exposure and excessive moisture can compromise pigment retention.
